Our Farm

At Merricks Creek Organics we follow ethical farming practices.  This means our premium organic produce is grown free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides and is GM-free  It also means that everything we do on the farm must follow practices that are cruelty-free and socially responsible.

We believe that if you take something out of the earth, you must put something back.

From Our Paddock to Your Plate

It’s important to know what you’re eating. And it’s even more important to know what you aren’t eating. We want you to know that all of our products are pesticide-free. We take a very hands-on approach to all of our crops, providing the very best of care.

We've been growing organic produce on our farm since 2006.  The cold winters and hot summers here in the Thora valley make it the perfect environment for growing premium garlic and grapefruit.  We have a strong commitment to holistic farming, and to maximise the organic process we use every bit of garlic somewhere, somehow on the farm.

We share our passion and knowledge with people from all over the world.  This includes our involvement with University of New England's masters degree students and the Willing Workers on Organic Farms (WWOOF) program.

simply use the contact form or you can call us.  We love talking to our customers so we will get back to you as soon as we are out of the paddock.

Stories from the Farm

Our chickens have free range, and our cows are pasture-fed.  We encourage biodiversity by setting aside land for bush regeneration and to provide wildlife corridors

Merricks Creek Organics has been producing premium certified organic garlic since 2006.  we are located in the beautiful Thora Valley on the Bellinger River, renowned for its quality produce.  We take great pride in being able to share with you our produce, grown naturally and nurtured with integrity.

We operate the farm under an organic management plan which includes making spaces for bush regeneration, actively encouraging pasture diversity, and putting back into the soil more than we take out.  This creates a healthy, strong and resilient farm.  It also happens to be paradise.
